The bride, an e-commerce marketer, and groom, a management consultant, returned to their native Ireland to wed on 6 September in the breath-taking, County Cavan around the banks of Lough Ramor.

The couple resides in New York City, where they moved together this year, but chose to return for his or her humanist ceremony and celebrations.

"We have been dating for 13 years before our big day. We are in the same town so had known one another for many years and were friends as teenagers. We got together close to the end of secondary school/start of college and also the rest is history! We spent a while doing long-distance when I was in college after which moved to NYC together."

Marie-Claire was attracted to the relaxed, boho, and lightweight feel of gowns and selected her very own beautiful dress at her atelier in New York. I love the elegance from the simple skirt and puddle train, having a sheer, lacy bodice adding daintiness along with a bridal feel.

"Like all brides, I tried on a lot of dresses and although probably looked better in other people, the main one I chose I felt was very me and thus comfortable and relaxed that was exactly how I desired to feel around the day. I felt like I was during my PJs most of the day which arrived very useful when I was bopping around the dance floor."

For his big day, your daughter's groom selected a classically smart, dark grey suit. His pale blue accessories were selected and he wore a blue watch, provided to him by Marie-Claire as his 'something blue.

Whilst the flower girls dressed up in dainty ivory flower girl dresses, the pair invited Shane's groomsmen, and also the bridesmaids, to put on their suits and dresses.

"We wanted everyone to appear and seem like themselves." Here

The couple's priorities during the day were for his or her friends and families to collect together, drink, dance, eat good food and relish the great outdoors. Virginia Park Lodge was the ideal spot for these festivities.

There was sufficient time for relaxing around the lawn, with drinks, canapés, and much more music from Gavan Ring, before the whole party moved into the Lodge for the marriage breakfast.

The room was dressed with pure white drapes, countless fairy lights, taper candles, and garlands of foliage in silvery blue.

"We wrote short notes to each guest coupled with them inside envelopes at people's seats as place names. We knew your day would be busy and that we wanted everyone to feel seen and appreciated after them spending some time to be there therefore we thought this could be a nice, personal touch. We got lots of compliments about this and have seen it done at a number of our friends' weddings since."

I do believe that the photographer has captured the feeling of place so incredibly within this portfolio of images, and the eye for detail is just immaculate. The soft grey and blue hues simply pop too, especially within the ceremony photographs in which the sun revealed itself to bathe the pair in the sunshine.

"Chris was amazing. We met him before our wedding and instantly connected. His style is extremely genuine and he captured some beautiful images. Chris also offers a talent to make you feel relaxed in front of the camera. He also only agreed to be great fun along with a wonderful energy to possess around you around the day."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Be prepared! It is so simple to procrastinate and steer clear of the planning part but do around you can beforehand so that you can enjoy your day and be present and mindful. It is a unique and special feeling to celebrate your relationship with your loved one so do around you can to prevent and take serious notice."

"The day goes so quick so try to take a moment to consider it all in and revel in it."
