Delta Unaccompanied Minor Policy in Brief: A young child under the age of 5 may not be left unattended at any time under any circumstances. A minor child between the ages of 5 and 12 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years old who is either the child's parent or legal guardian at the time they check into the airport for a flight. Additionally, any adult over 18 years old who checks into an airport terminal with a child under 12 years old who is not the child's parent or legal guardian is considered an "Unaccompanied Minor" and must be accompanied at all times during the child's stay at the airport.
